Stay like royalty at Grand Mercure Mysore

I was looking for a staycation for the weekend which is drivable from Bangalore. Mysore has always been one of my favorite cities. It was great to know my favorite Accor group of hotels has opened Grand Mercure in Mysore few years back. I was really excited about the stay as the hotel is built like a palace.

The check-in was very smooth and contact-less. Our luggage was sanitized and we filled a declaration form about our health and travels. Our deluxe suite was really spacious and elegantly decorated with visuals of Mysore and toys from channapatna.

The master bedroom in our deluxe suite was really spacious and it was artfully decorated. Lot of natural light was coming in, thanks to the large French doors.

We really loved the welcome amenities including an edible chocolate printed with picture of our son Reyansh. He loved eating that chocolate.

The deluxe suite room had 1 washroom near the entrance for guests and 1 washroom attached to the master bedroom. The master bedroom washroom had one of the biggest bath tubs I have ever seen.

We had a lazy breakfast in the bed including some local varieties like Mysore Masala Dosa along with staples like masala omlette, sausages and fruits.

There is a nice balcony for each Deluxe Suite which allows you to enjoy breakfast or tea or coffee with privacy.

I really liked the lounge on the top floor which is a great way to experience a bird’s eye view of Mysore.

I liked the rooftop swimming pool but unfortunately it was closed to covid restrictions. Hope to visit it soon once the restrictions are lifted.
