Recently we did a staycation at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield to celebrate my wife Sunitha’s birthday. Having done the social media launch of this hotel which was the 100th hotel of Marriott India, was really looking forward to a stay here as it is one of the most luxurious hotels in Bangalore.
This 5 star hotel is located in the business hub of Prestige Shantiniketan, Whitefield, Bangalore. It is ideally located near major corporations and IT parks in the fastest growing suburb of Bangalore called Whitefield. Sheraton Whitefield is part of the Marriott group of hotels.
We stayed in the Junior Kitchenette suite room of Sheraton Whitefield which offers a spacious bathroom, separate living area and comfortable king bed with complimentary Sheraton Club Lounge access
We had a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, induction cooktop and all cutlery. This is specially good for people who can plan for a longer stay while shifting between 2 cities.
Being a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was pampered with some really delicious welcome treats like macarons, pastries, chocolates and juices and of course a fruit basket too. If you are not a Marriott Bonvoy member, do become one as earning points is quite easy which is redeemable for wonderful stays.
My son Reyansh loved the personalized touch by Sheraton Grand Whitefield team who put some coloring sheets, pencil colors and yummy chocolates for him as a welcome amenity.
We had a wonderful view of the expansive pool along with the panoramic view of Prestige Shantiniketan IT park which is world class and we could also see the convention center which is the biggest convention center in the city.
The living room of our suite room was very luxurious and had painting of Mysore Palace to showcase the local culture. The sofas were very plush and the light fixtures were very innovative. There was also a TV here which you can watch without disturbing those in the bedroom.
The uber clean bathroom had a bath tub with a small TV which Reyansh enjoyed watching while he was taking long warm baths in the bath tub. This was very innovative which can’t be seen in many luxurious hotels.
We had a surprise when we came back from dining on the eve of Sunitha’s birthday. Our room was very well decorated by the hotel staff with lots of balloons and a yummy cake which we cut at 12 midnight!
As a surprise for the birthday girl, Sheraton Grand Whitefield arranged for a breakfast in bed. There were 3 varieties of breakfast – American, Continental and Indian. We wolfed down waffles, poori bhaji, muesli, poached eggs, brownies with fresh juice and filter coffee!
We celebrated Sunitha’s birthday once more before lunch with the wonderful cake sent by pastry chefs from Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield.
With a Sheraton Club Room or suite room, you get access to the club lounge which is on the top most floor of Sheraton Grand Whitefield. Here you can relax throughout the day with some complementary beverages. It is wonderful to have breakfast here specially on those days when there is huge rush in the all day dining restaurant.
Reyansh and me love swimming so we headed down out to take a dip in the expansive pool of Sheraton Grand Whitefield. They even provided Reyansh a swimming tube so that he could enjoy without any fear of water. There was also a small kids pool.
Overall had a wonderful staycation at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield and would recommend it to everyone either visiting Bangalore who wants to stay closer to the IT hub and newer happening parts of Bangalore or for Bangaloreans who want a respite from the terrible traffic!
