Loft 38 lounge which boasts of continental and Asian cuisine recently launched it’s TDH menu which is a menu where multi-course meals with few choices are charged at a fixed total price. We were invited to review the TDH menu on a lazy Sunday afternoon and realized that it’s a perfect fit for any corporate lunches during the week!

We started out with an assortment of cocktails and mocktails which Loft 38 is famous for. The bartender made some amazing Mojitos and Iced Teas. We were told that we could upgrade to these mocktails like Virgin Mojito (Orange & Mint Mojito, Strawberry Mojito) or a flavored ice tea (lemon, peach, green apple) for an additional price of just Rs.99 only as the 3 course menu is fixed at Rs.499 and 4 course menu is fixed at Rs.599.

In starters, I liked Crispy Calamari. This was crumb fried spicy calamari with duet of Mayonnaise. I really liked it’s crunchiness and felt that it didn’t have strong smell to it which can offset some new folks who want to try it out.

In vegetarian starters, my favorite was Potato Gnocchi. This is pan fried potato gnocchi with mushroom pil pil, chilli and garlic. I really liked the flavors put in by Chef here.

In non-vegetarian main course, I tried out Jerk Marinated Chicken Breast. This is Caribbean style grilled chicken with ginger-lemongrass mash potato and tossed vegetables! This was quite yummy!

Next up was Pan Seared Basa fish. This was Pan Seared basa with curry leaf tossed sweet potatoes and spicy tomato and tamarind sauce. Executive Chef Sajosh Peetayil mentioned that it was his tribute to the legendary toddy shop food of Kerala which has fish and tapioca together! I felt that was wonderful for him to do that!

For those who like Thai food, there is Thai Yellow Chicken Curry. This is Chicken cooked in a fresh turmeric, galangal, lemograss and coconut flavored homemeade yellow curry and served with steamed rice.

Coming to desserts, two of my favorite ones were Banoffee Tart which is Tart shell filled with a mixture of banana, cream and toffee and topped with chocolate flakes! This was gulped within minutes!

Second one was Chocolate, Raisins and Rum fondant. This was freshly baked chocolate fondant with rum soaked raisins and vanilla ice cream! This melted within seconds as soon as we started digging into it!

At Rs.499 for the three-course meal and Rs.599 for the four-course meal, I feel it’s really affordable for the scale of a restaurant like Loft 38 and definitely recommend anyone around Indiranagar to try it out!
