We met the very bubbly and enthusiastic Vishal Sawhney who is the Country Head & Chief Operating Officer of PVR bluO. He is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience. He is responsible for managing Operations, Business Development & Projects and Sales & Marketing for bluO. His last stint was with the Landmark Group officiating in the capacity of President where he led the verticals of Entertainment Centres, F&B and Fitness. His professional tenure spans companies in Middle East and the United States besides his extensive experience in India. On the academic front, he completed his Bachelors in Hotel Management from IHM, Lucknow and advanced certification in Hospitality Customer Interface Management from Cairo, Egypt. He interacted very well with us and explained to us the entire concept of bluO and how they are making inroads into all parts of the countries by offering a quality product at affordable prices.
On the food front, Not compromising on ‘more’, bluO offered a wide range of delectable delights that included delicacies from across the globe to relish on, which are suitable for adults & kids with specific preference. bluO is well provisioned with a bar that stocks both international and domestic liquors. It also houses some choicest wines. Customers were free to partake of either non/alcoholic beverage as per their requirements.
The cuisine is mostly multi cuisine like North Indian, Andhra Style, Chinese and Continental. I particularly enjoyed the juicy and succulent chicken kebabs along with some really spicy and crunchy chilli chicken. They provided as wonderful energy boosters for us to take part in the bowling and other games. One of my favorite was the Race Tantra F1 racing lounge. The Formula One Racing Lounge at bluO Bangalore is a part of integral services of bluO. The intent is to build an attitude and connect well with their target group; Sportiness, adventure, fun in alternative forms a part of lifestyle for today’s generation.
In wine pairing, we paired our food with the wonderful Fratelli Wines which are from Solapur district of Maharashtra. The winery is situated in Motewadi, one of the three vineyard sites of the company and has an installed capacity of around 600,000 liters. It is equipped with 58 multi-capacity tanks especially imported from Velo, Italy – a first by any wine company in Asia. The proximity of the winery to the vineyards ensures that once the grapes are harvested, they are processed within an hour in an absolutely fresh condition.
